CASE STUDY 1
CLIENT SPECIFICATION:
To construct a revised layout by lifting existing
sidings and re-using all
materials recovered.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED:
To meet the final design criteria, a substantial
volume of additional bullhead check
rail and
check chairs was required – more than that
recoverable from site, or in the market place
within the contract programme.
The problem was solved by the
in-house manufacture of pressed steel base plates
as an alternative
to check chairs. This allowed the use of flat bottom
rail available
from A.L.A. stock. We agreed a “like
for like” exchange of rail, and therefore
there
was no cost implication on the contract.
The Difference –
Speed
and a Tailored Service from In-House Manufacturing.
