CASE STUDY 2
PROBLEM:
Four days prior to a major contract handover, the
client discovered that a key turnout
to the project
was deemed unserviceable.
A.L.A. SOLUTION:
Upon site inspection, it was found that the general
condition of the turnout was good. However, the
switches were in very poor condition, and were
old ‘A’ type heel switches which
are no longer recommended for use.
A.L.A. upgraded the turnout
by manufacturing a new set of ‘B’ switches in-house from
serviceable rail overnight at the client’s
approval. Our installation team installed them
the following day with no delay to the programme.
The Difference -
was Speed as a result of In-House Manufacture.
