A.L.A. Rail is proud of the completion of a contract to install approximately 750m of new tracks, including turnouts, to service a New Melt shop facility at the Tremorfa Works, Cardiff.
The track works were a key part of the overall scheme. The site was shared with numerous contractors, from a variety of nationalities and a great deal of forward planning was required to share work areas within the site.
As in the past, A.L.A. demonstrated its ability to help the client and brought savings on the overall project. Using its knowledge and experience, A.L.A. was able to improve the track lay-out by incorporating the preferred fittings of E.W.S. whilst removing two reverse of curves. The formation and civil engineering works were carried out by Encon Civil Engineering.
